Obituary: Jeanette Lukefahr

Jeanette Lukefahr, 96, of Perryville died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.
She was born Feb. 18, 1924 in St. Louis to Clarence Albert and Dorothy Virginia (Pourney) Weinkein.
She and Elward Lukefahr were married June 15, 1946. He preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1991.
She had been a long-time employee of Miraculous Medal Office in Perryville. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality in Highland, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her one daughter, Janice M. (Donald) Bohnert of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Linda (Russ) Groom, Timothy (Meredith) Bohnert; four great-grandchildren, Abigail (Fiance Taylor Scott) Groom, Rachel Groom, Reid Bohnert, Ella Bohnert and one great-great-grandson, Maverick Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends were called at Ford & Young Chapel in Perryville on Tuesday, July 28, 2020
Funeral Mass was Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland with the Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer officiating. Burial was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Cemetery Fund in Highland.
